Amanda Kyle Williams: Stranger in the Room

PERSONAL NOTES: Summer is just around the corner and another thriller from Amanda Kyle Williams is here. She delivers a second thrilling Keye Street novel perfect for the season.

SYNOPSIS LOUNGE presents...

Stranger in the Room
By Amanda Kyle Williams

Synopsis:

Summer is smoldering through Atlanta on Fourth of July weekend, as fireworks crack through the air and steam rises from the pavement on Peachtree. Private investigator and ex-FBI profiler Keye Street wants nothing more than a couple of quiet days alone with her boyfriend, Aaron, but as usual, murder gets in the way. ( Going deeper on this will make myself  a spoiler of an amazing thriller like this.--Raf Echanova)

PERSONAL NOTES: A few weeks ago, I watched the movie The Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix. I haven't read the book yet but I was impressed the way it presented its plot. What a good movie to watch. William H. Macy had a great role in this movie. Ryan Philippe had shown a great performance as well.

As curious as I am, in case you haven't watched the movie yet, you can read the novel first.

The Lincoln Lawyer
By Michael Connelly

Synopsis:

They're called Lincoln Lawyers: the bottom of the legal food chain, the criminal defence attorneys who operate out of the back of a Lincoln Town Car, taking whatever cases the system throws in their path. Mickey Haller has been in the business a long time, and he knows just how to work it. When a Beverly Hills rich boy is arrested for brutally beating a woman, Haller has his first high-paying client in years. The evidence mounts on the defence's side, and Haller might even be in the rare position of defending a client who is actually innocent. But when his case starts to fall apart and neither the suspect nor the victim are quite who they seem, Haller quickly discovers that when you swim with the sharks, it's easy to wind up as prey.
