Welcome to my blog. It's a great pleasure to have you!
Why Synopsis Lounge? Well, we depend our decision by reading the synopsis of every story that we intend to read, right? Our readers depend on it. It brings excitement to us. And this is the author's great opportunity to let the readers know about the story. In impasse. At a glance. In an instant.
Why the word 'Lounge'? Oh, man, it brings the idea and my fascination of a club lounge or something like that. Or a place like in the airports, while you are waiting at the terminal, where you can see the VIP airline passengers spending their time in the VIP Lounge. Unfortunately, for the most part, I used to have the economy class, and you know what I'm talking about. It only happened once, in my entire life, some years ago, when I was attending a convention in Singapore, I got the business class ticket so at least I enjoyed some time in the VIP Lounge of Singapore Airlines. And please, don't ever ever think I was a big shot then, nuh uh, a sponsor paid it for me. I'm fascinated about the smell of food, the tastes of freshly brewed coffee, or tea and the 'finger' food they serve. So, that's the idea of this blog. A Synopsis Lounge of great stories of my fellow aspiring and published authors and writers dedicated, and so to speak, CATERED to the most important creatures in this wonderful world of fiction we live in: our READERS. No, not those Kindle and Nook or iPad READERS, but those HUMAN BEINGS who read and patronize our work, those who value our work ( and of course who trash our work if it is not suitable for them, duh).
Synopsis Lounge will be a venue for our published and unpublished authors and writers about their published books and those to be published soon. And folks, even the ONES that you have not written yet, of course, just let us know by telling your SYNOPSIS and they will be part of the SYNOPSIS LOUNGE blog of yours, truly ( though I doubt it, I doubt it that you will tell us the synopsis of your story that you haven't written completely yet, for some 'reason', trying hard, copy cat.. he he).
So... your SYNOPSIS LOUNGE page will feature the synopsis of your story then we'll get some feedback from our visitors. Easy, right? Oh, yes... and it feels good, right? They could even post their reactions or what kind of excitement they feel about your story. And you will share some of your royalty fees that Amazon and Barnes and Noble will give you in the future, RIGHT? WRONG!!! I don't need those. My noble intention here folks is to build a great alliance to a REVOLUTION of the E-BOOK era. That's it.
MY OWN NOVELLAS HANGING IN THE GARAGE OF MY PROOFREADERS
I am a few steps away from being an aspiring to published e-book author. The excitement and frustrations hampered my ability to keep on moving. I have this feeling of unexplained mood. Oh, yes, it seems that it's kind of having some 'hot flashes' at this point. Or in a better analogy, like a dog who roams around the garage and trying go get out. Or a cat that accidentally messed up a sprinkler in the yard. Or, it looks like you've got that feeling of some stomach upset after you drank that Ballerina Dieter's Tea that you bought from the Asian store. You know that feeling, right? That's how I feel right now. Or to a much better analogy, it feels like when I was a teenager and my girlfriend was waiting for me in a convenience store, I couldn't get out of my house because my mother 'sensed' something wrong and she's guarding the main door. You know that feeling, right?
I began to write my first novella in September last year. It's all about a young leader of his country who struggles with the ghosts of his past. Actually, folks, whenever we see the word 'ghosts' the impression is it's all about a horror story. This novella is a mixture of romance, politics and adventure. At first, I was really confused about the exact genre of my novella. I kept asking where it really belonged. I didn't know. Yes, I admit it. But one day I woke up and thought about Oprah. Yes, that inspiring lady Oprah. I was thinking if I would let her read my e-book in the future, I ask myself these questions: What would Oprah think? What would Oprah say? And... What would Oprah do? Oh, lord, after realizing those words? I found the right genre for me. And I loved it.
